Frequently asked questions

The questions patients ask the doctor most. They are general guidance: every case is assessed in a visit.

Can I come any day for a Pap test?

Almost. Do not come during your period, avoid sexual intercourse for the 3 days before and do not use vaginal suppositories. That way the sample is good and does not need to be repeated.

Does the doctor deliver babies?

Yes. She provides prenatal care at her office and delivers at Clínica Abreu, Centro Médico Escaño and Centro Médico San Lucas. She has delivered more than 100 babies.

Which insurance plans are accepted?

Humano, Primera, SeNaSa, SEMMA, Renacer, Yunén and ARS Reservas. Fertility treatments and aesthetic gynecology are not covered by insurance.

Which birth control method should I use?

It depends on your age, your health, whether you smoke and whether you want to get pregnant later. In a birth control visit the doctor explains the options and you choose together. Ideally come during your period and bring a pregnancy test.

I want my hormones checked. How does it work?

It starts with a visit: based on your symptoms and your cycle, the doctor orders the right tests and tells you on which day of your cycle to do them, because some values change over the cycle.

I have itching, burning and discharge. Can she help?

Yes. These are common symptoms with several possible causes, so it is best to be examined before using any treatment on your own. Book a gynecology visit.

I keep bleeding or spotting. What should I do?

Book a visit so the doctor can find the cause. If the bleeding is very heavy, if you are pregnant, or if you feel dizzy or weak, do not wait for an appointment: go to the emergency room.

I sleep badly and get hot flashes and chills. Is that normal?

They may be symptoms of perimenopause, the stage before menopause, but they can have other causes too. A visit reviews your case and the options to help you feel better.

My breast hurts or I feel a lump. What could it be?

There are many causes, and many are not serious, but any new lump or change in the breast should be checked soon. Book a visit rather than waiting for it to go away.

Do you offer online consultations?

Yes, for questions and doubts. An online consultation does not include treatment or prescriptions: if needed, the doctor will ask you to come to the office.

How do I pay?

Cash or bank transfer. Saturday appointments are paid in advance; on other days it is optional. Transfer details are sent by WhatsApp when your appointment is confirmed.
